In August 2019, I, Andrea King, established a non-profit organization in loving memory of my beloved mother, Yvonne Castle. Today, as the CEO/President of Yvonne Castle Foundation, I am honored to lead an organization that embodies Yvonne’s selfless dedication to community service. Our mission is to carry forward her commitment by addressing the urgent need for school supplies among disadvantaged children.
Empowering Young Minds: At the core of Yvonne Castle Foundation’s mission is a profound belief in the transformative power of education. Under my leadership, we are dedicated to empowering young minds by eliminating barriers to learning, starting with the provision of essential school supplies. Recognizing the challenges of education, we are committed to ensuring that no child faces the critical obstacle of supply shortages.
Achievements and Impact: Over the past three years, Yvonne Castle Foundation, led by me, Andrea King, has made significant strides in fulfilling our mission. Through targeted events in the neighborhoods of the beneficiaries, we have successfully distributed over 5,000 backpacks, books, and school supplies directly to children aged 5–16 in the U.S. and internationally.
Championing Dignity and Quality Experiences: Our commitment extends beyond elementary education; we form strong bonds with the communities we serve, providing ongoing support as students’ progress to high school and college. Yvonne Castle Foundation aims to raise funds specifically for scholarships, ensuring that deserving young individuals have the financial resources to pursue higher education and fulfill their dreams.
